Mojang Redeem Guide:

Important Note:
In order to play Multiplayer / Realm you will need to redeem the game to an adult account (Microsoft Account with Date of Birth > 18 Years Old). Please double confirm / create a new account with DOB > 18 years old before redeeming the code. If you’ve redeemed the game on an underaged account and would like to play Multiplayer, please do Contact Xbox Support Here . Please be informed that we are unable to assist you on this issue.

Redeem on minecraft.net

Step 1.1: Visit https://minecraft.net/en-us/login 

Step 1.2: If you already have an Microsoft Account, click “Sign in with Microsoft”, else press “Sign up for free” to create an account.

(Make sure you remember this account as you need to sign in this account in Step 1.6 later.)

Step 1.3: Visit https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/msaprofile/redeem

Step 1.4: Enter your redeem code and Submit, follow the on-page redeem steps to complete your redemption.
(Note: Despite page mentioning Java Edition, you will still receive your Java & Bedrock Edition)

Step 1.5: Visit: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/ to download the Minecraft launcher.

Note: If you’re facing error with Windows 10/11 installer, please install the game with Windows 7/8 installer available from download link above.

Step 1.6: Start Minecraft Launcher from your computer, then login with the Microsoft account that you redeemed the game on Step 1.3.

You should see “Play” button instead of “Play Demo” in Minecraft Launcher if you’re logging the correct account as you redeemed the code on Step 1.2. If you logged in the wrong account and wish to change account, in Minecraft Launcher top left corner, click the account name / profile photo to sign out and sign in again.

 

Redeem on Microsoft (Only if above steps does not work)

Step 2.1: Visit https://minecraft.net/en-us/login 

Step 2.2: If you already have an Microsoft Account, click “Sign in with Microsoft”, else press “Sign up for free” to create an account.
(Make sure you remember this account as you need to sign in this account in Step 2.5 later.)

Step 2.3: Visit https://account.microsoft.com/billing/redeem and paste your redeem code, then press “Next” and follow the on page instruction to complete your redemption.

Step 2.4: Visit: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/  to download the Minecraft launcher.  

Note: If you’re facing error with Windows 10/11 installer, please install the game with Windows 7/8 installer available from download link above.

Step 2.5: Start Minecraft Launcher from your computer, then login with the Microsoft account that you redeemed the game in Step 2.3.

You should see “Play” button instead of “Play Demo” in Minecraft Launcher if you’re logging the correct account as you redeemed the code on Step 2.2.
